The West Texas Running Club will hold their annual Bobby Birdsong Memorial Race on Saturday, June 11.
The race will be at the Silent Wings Museum, located at 6202 Interstate 27 Frontage Road, and will begin at 8:00 a.m.
The race pays tribute to Bobby Birdsong, a dedicated Levelland High School biology teacher. Birdsong was the first Race Director of the Levelland Lope in 1980 and served in this capacity through 1988.
The event will feature a 2 mile and 10K (6.2 Miles) race. Both races offer a flat, out and back course.
Medals will be awarded for Overall Male and Female winners and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers, male and female, in each age group.
