The bones which were found in Odessa last week have been identified, according to a statement from the Ector County Sheriff’s Office.
The ECSO identified the person as Jakayla Salazar, 25, who went missing last year.
Tarrant County Medical Examiners Office identified the bones with a dental examination, according to ECSO.
The cause of death is still pending. A knife and other items were found with the bones in the 3000 block of South Dixie Boulevard.
