On Friday a judge sentenced Jacob Matthew Bouloy, 28, of Lubbock to 15 years in prison.  He was found guilty on Wednesday of online solicitation of a minor for sex.

According to information presented in court, Bouloy was communicating with an undercover officer in March of 2015.  The undercover officer represented himself as a 14-year-old girl named Hanna. Bouloy made arrangements to meet Hanna, and was arrested.

Bouloy took the stand on Friday in an effort to get a lower sentence.

But while on the stand, prosecutors confronted him with a recorded conversation he had with his mother in jail.  In the conversation, his mother asked him about a 16-year-old girl he had sex with.  Bouloy never denied it and told his mother he had no way of knowing if he impregnated her.

Bouloy’s punishment was not quite the maximum.  The punishment range was from 2 to 20 years in prison.
