A Brown County teenager was arrested Saturday morning in connection to the killing of his father and step-mother.
Cody Michael Flores, 17, is charged with two counts of capital murder. He is being held on a $500,000 bond as of Sunday.
Authorities were dispatched around 2:30 a.m. to a mobile home on County Road 551 where a man and woman were found shot in their bed.
Flores was questioned and reportedly told authorities someone came into the home and shot the two victims.
He reportedly changed his story several times during questioning and eventually confessed to the killing and was arrested.
The Brown County Sheriff’s Office believe the motive was an argument Flores had with his parents over moving out.
