Brownfield Police said two suspects remained unaccounted for after a shooting that injured two people.
Officers responded to a home on E. Tate Street near S. Club Street Saturday night to find two people shot.
Brownfield Police Chief Tony Serbantez said a resident “heard a knock at the door.”
Two suspects were outside, police said.
According to Serbantez, the victim engaged in a “struggle with a rifle,” and was shot.
Another victim “was shot by suspects when he came out to help,” Serbantez added.
“Both suspects fled the scene. Unknown as to who they are,” Serbantez said.
He stated the two victims, 22 and 27 years old, were both in “stable condition” as of Sunday morning.
