The Buddy Holly Center is excited to announce Buddy’s 80th Birthday Bash in honor of Lubbock’s most famous son, Buddy Holly. Patrons are invited to visit the Center on September 4th – 10th to enjoy events and activities for the whole family! Girls on Film: 40 Years of Women in Rock will be on display in the Fine Arts Gallery. An Introduction: Images by L David Pike will be in the Foyer Gallery.

POODLE SKIRTS & HOT RODS WORKSHOP
Come enjoy the spirit of the 1950s by participating in our Poodle Skirt and Hot Rod Workshop. Create your own unique poodle skirt that you can wear for any occasion, or build and paint your own model hot rod so that it really rocks!
Time: 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Cost: $15
Paid pre-registration by Tuesday, September 6th at 5:00 p.m. is required for the workshop, as class sizes are limited. For more information or to register please call 806.775.3562. Workshops are for ages 8 & up; ages 7 & under require adult supervision.
