It’s about black market arms deal that goes horrible and hysterically wrong. You can’t miss the parody that is just as savage as it is funny. It’s rated R, and you can empty that clip at the Alamo Drafthouse and Premiere.
Peter Pan turns the Civic Center Theater into Neverland for one last weekend. It’s the classic tale put to a great set and fine performances in the Civic Center Theater. Lubbock Moonlight Musicals performs the favorite just four last times: Friday and Saturday night at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are from about $28 to $75 through Select-A-Seat.
The Lubbock Arts Festival opens to the public Saturday morning at 10:00 and closes at 7:00 p.m. It’s the 39th annual event, and it continues Sunday from noon to 5:00 p.m. More than 150 artists converge, and there are lots of special performances, including Peter Pan. There will be everything from sculpture to jewelry to glassblowing to pottery, It’s only $4 for adults, and children 12 and under get in free with an adult, at the Civic center.
