A burglary suspect was arrested Sunday evening after leading authorities in a vehicle chase across part of the city and out into the county. 

Lubbock Police tell EverythingLubbock.com officers responded to 96th and Boston after a caller reported someone tried to kick down the door. The suspect had left the scene by the time officers arrived .

A short time later, officers located a man, matching the description of the suspect, in the Home Depot parking lot on 50th Street.

Officers attempted to stop the suspect but he fled the scene.

The suspect then led officers in a vehicle chase down 50th Street into East Lubbock and then outside the city limit. Lubbock Police ended the chase on County Road 2800 when it was determined too dangerous to continue the pursuit.

Later, Lubbock Police were then called to a burglary in progress at residence on North Tumeric Street. It was determined this was the same suspect involved in the previous attempted burglary and chase. Officers arrived on the scene and the suspect was then arrested.

The suspect has been identified as Quinton Scott Bridges, 29, of Lubbock.

Bridges is charged with burglary of a habitation, evading in a vehicle and criminal trespassing. He was still being held Monday morning in the the Lubbock County Detention Center.
