Calvert Personal Care Services (CPCS) was founded by the ownership group and family of Calvert Home Health Care, Ltd. Calvert Home Health, in business since 1987, has been a staple to the Lubbock and West Texas area. CPCS strives to carry on the great reputation they have come to expect from Calvert Home Health Care. CPCS opened its’ doors in the summer of 2013, offering a service-line they have always offered in their senior living communities, but never to the entire West Texas area. Their mission is to provide exceptional and compassionate care to all clients so they can remain in the comfort of their own home. For more information, go online to www.calvertpcs.com.

According to national statistics, one out of every four American families is caring for a parent, an older family member, a spouse, or a friend. Those statistics support their work at Calvert and why they see families with an increased need for personal care services within the healthcare industry. In general, personal care services help individuals alleviate concerns about themselves or a loved one being alone and needing help with everyday tasks such as personal hygiene and dressing, getting to appointments, post-hospitalization and companion care.

As they continue to see Medicare cuts in individual care plans, individuals are often left without the proper assistance to function safely in the home. There is now a growing demand to fill the void of necessary assistance for loved ones to remain in their own home. Due to the lack of services covered or provided through Medicare, they felt it was imperative for the Calvert family to develop a program to accommodate these growing needs of the families they serve; and they’re honored to bring this vital service to the many people of West Texas.

Calvert celebrates its two-year anniversary this summer of the Personal Care Services branch.

One of the greatest long-term needs of older adults and those with chronic illnesses is for in-home, skilled care services. Those who provide such services are referred to as personal care assistants who are trained as certified nursing assistants, custodial care workers and personal companions. Our in-home workers make it possible for people with functional limitations to remain at home in a comfortable, safe and familiar environment. Calvert Personal Care Services’ personal care assistants provide a wide range of assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, assisting with transfer or ambulation, toileting, light housekeeping, laundry and providing medication reminders. In addition, personal care assistants help with instrumental activities of daily living, such as shopping, meal preparation, making medical appointments, transportation, laundry and companionship.

Pure and simple, Calvert Personal Care Services provides quality personal care to ease the burden of caring for yourself or a loved one on your own. Whether assistance is needed for getting up in the morning, getting settled in the evening, or the reassurance of just knowing that someone is there, we’re here to provide the support and care you need.
