Lubbock Fire Rescue responded to a home in the 4400 block of Itasca Street for the report that a car hit a fire hydrant, a house, and the homeowner.
The driver of the car was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.
LFR said, “The home owner was sitting at a desk where the vehicle struck the house. The impact drove the desk into the home owner causing some injuries.”
The home owner was treated and released at the scene. There was no word yet on whether Lubbock Police would issue citations or charges.
