Castro, Former Person of Interest in Murder Investigation, Arrested for Assault

Christian Castro, 21, was arrested early Wednesday morning for assault and other charges.  Lubbock Police were called to the 3300 block of Auburn street before 1:30 a.m.

A police report said, “[The suspect] assaulted [the victim] in an unknown manner, resulting in [the victim] having an injured and bloody mouth.”

That victim was described as Castro’s pregnant girlfriend in the police report.

In 2015 Castro was named as a person of interest in the Mark Ysasaga murder investigation.  He was never charged in the Ysasaga case.  He was also arrested in April after a police report accused him of hitting a woman in the face with his fist.
