U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations (OFO) at the Donna International Bridge arrested a 23-year-old man from Pharr, Texas who had an outstanding arrest warrant for indecency with a child.

“Our frontline CBP officers at Donna-Rio Bravo International Bridge intercepted a man from Pharr, Texas who was wanted by a local police department for accusations of having inappropriately touched a minor female,” said Acting Port Director Richard Diaz, Progreso/Donna Port of Entry. “He will now face the judicial system to answer the alleged child indecency charges.”

On June 7, CBP officers working at the Donna-Rio Bravo International Bridge encountered Marcos Alberto Hernandez, a 23-year-old male U.S. citizen from Pharr arriving from Mexico in a vehicle. An initial systems check revealed that Mr. Hernandez was a possible match to an outstanding arrest warrant, therefore he was secured and escorted to secondary for further inspection. Officers verified his identity and the active arrest warrant from the Pharr Police Department through biometric verification, a second-degree felony for indecency with a child.

Mr. Hernandez is accused of having inappropriately touched a 13-year-old female in April and charges were filed by the Pharr Police Department.

CBP OFO arrested Mr. Hernandez and then released him to the custody of Pharr Police Department investigators.
