A 2-year-old girl was killed in a mobile home fire in Clovis, New Mexico Tuesday morning, according to authorities.
The Clovis Fire Department and Clovis Police Department were dispatched just after 4:00 a.. to a mobile home fire in the 1900 block of East 6th Street.
The mother told authorities a child was still inside the home when they arrived.
Despite their efforts, officials said the child died in the fire.
The mother suffered burns on her arms and was transported to Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.
The new Mexico State Fire Marshal’s Office was called to the scene.
Anyone with information on this fire is asked to call the Clovis Police Department or the Clovis Fire Department.
