City of Lubbock offices will be closed Friday, December 23 and Monday, December 26, 2016 in observance of the Christmas holidays. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, December 27.
There will be no dumpster trash collection on Friday, December 23 or Monday, December 26. Monday’s normally scheduled cart and dumpster trash collection will be moved to Tuesday, December 27, and Tuesday’s normally scheduled collection will take place on Wednesday, December 28. Residents with carts are asked to have them out before 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Thursday, December 29 and Friday, December 30 collections will not be affected.
The City of Lubbock Recycling Drop-Off Centers and Citizen Convenience Stations will be open on Friday, December 23 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The recycling centers/convenience stations will be closed on Saturday, December 24 and Monday, December 26. They will resume normal operations on Tuesday,
December 27. The recycling centers/convenience stations are located at:
- 1631 84th Street
- 208 Municipal Drive
- 7308 Milwaukee Avenue
- 4307 Adrian Street
The West Texas Region Disposal Facility and the Caliche Canyon Landfill will observe the following holiday schedule:
- Both will be open on Friday, December 23, and will close to the public at 3:00 p.m.
- Both will be closed Saturday, December 24 and Monday, December 26 and resume normal operations on Tuesday, December 27.
The Buddy Holly Center and Silent Wings Museum will both be closed Friday, December 23 through Monday, December 26. Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, December 27.
The Garden and Arts Center will be closed Friday, December 23 through Monday, December 26. The center will reopen on Tuesday, December 27 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
All Lubbock Public Library locations be closed Friday, December 23 through Monday December 26. All locations will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27.
