Clovis Police Officers responded to the report of a stabbing in the 500 block of West 4th Street on Monday night.
When police arrived, they found Lorenzo Martinez, 50, leaving an apartment. Officers detained Martinez.
Police said officers then found Mary Neal, 57, on a bed deceased.
Police said, “Evidence at the scene showed the victim had been stabbed. Martinez subsequently confessed to investigators he had stabbed Neal.”
An arrest warrant was issued against Martinez for the charges of murder and tampering with evidence.
Martinez was booked into the Curry County Adult Detention Center with a bond of $100,000 bond.
