At 12:42 a.m., Clovis Police Department responded to a report of an injured man at the Clovis Apartments at 1000 North Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.
Police found 52-year-old Raymon Rollings, Jr. lying on the ground with head injuries.
Rollings was taken to Plains Regional Medical Center-Clovis (PRMC-Clovis) for treatment of his injuries but died earlier this morning.
At 12:48 a.m. officials at PRMC-Clovis contacted the Clovis Police Department stating a male subject with a stab wound to the head, had been dropped off at the front entrance of the Emergency Room. This is also under investigation at this time and is unknown if these two incidents are related.
Evidence at the scene showed a physical altercation had taken place near where the victim had been located.
The investigation into the homicide is being conducted by the 9th Judicial District Major Crimes Unit (MCU) in conjunction with the Clovis Police Department.
