“From the ladies point of view, one in three women will die of heart disease,” said Tommy Parrish, Director of Covenant’s LifeStyle Center.
To raise awareness and funds, the American Heart Association is hosting their annual “Go Red for Women Luncheon” on Thursday, April 28th.
“This is the first year I’ve been able to chair the event,” said Parrish.
The organization is close to his heart, volunteering with the Go Red event for more than five years.
“Without the research that they do for heart attack and stroke disease, it’s a huge difference on education,” said Parrish.
