EVENT:
On Monday, Covenant Medical Center, in cooperation with the City of Lubbock, will close 21st Street, between Joliet Avenue and Louisville Avenue, to re-route water lines under the street that are impacted by the construction where the old valet entrance was located. The closure will last approximately 30 days.
All the entrances and exits in and out of the east and west parking garages along with the sky bridges will remain open during this project. The south side of 21st Street will remain open to pedestrian traffic. The intersection of 21st Street and Knoxville and the physician parking lot beneath the Heart Center also will be closed during this time.
The Keeping the Covenant project includes massive renovations of current facilities, new construction and technology upgrades. Slated to be completed in five to seven years, Keeping the Covenant includes expansion and renovation of the Joe Arrington Cancer Center, Covenant Medical Center and Covenant Women’s and Children’s.
