The Odessa Police Department is investigating a deadly vehicle and train collision that occurred on Tuesday.
The accident occurred at First Street and Dixie.
Authorities say a red Dodge Dakota pickup was traveling southbound on Dixie and disregarded train warning lights before being struck by a Union Pacific train.
Police say the driver of the pickup was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim has been identified as Clarence Haynes, 72, of Crane.
No other injuries were reported.
