First responders were called to the 7800 block of Olive Avenue in Southeast Lubbock at about 11:30 a.m. Thursday for the report of a crash involving two 18-wheelers.  

Police said the 18-wheelers were traveling the same direction.  The one in the front was making a right hand turn into Jarvis metal.  The second 18-wheeler then collided with the one in front. 

Police said, “The rear eighteen-wheeler was carrying cattle and rolled onto its side after the collision killing 9 head of cattle.”

As for the drivers, one of them suffered minor injuries.  Police did not say if there would be any citations or charges.
