Texas Senator Ted Cruz won Texas in the Republican Primary on Super Tuesday. As of early Wednesday morning results were still coming in from around the state. But at that time, Cruz had 44 percent as compared to Donald Trump with 27 percent. Marco Rubio had 17 percent.
Cruz also won Oklahoma.
On the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton was leading Texas by 66 percent to 32 percent over Bernie Sanders.
In the final unofficial results for Lubbock County, Cruz carried 45.06 percent of the local vote. Trump was second in Lubbock County with 22.25 percent.
