The Dallas Cowboys have selected Ohio State RB Ezekiel Elliott with their first pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Dallas entered draft day with the fourth overall pick after a turbulent 2015 season where they lost starting quarterback Tony Romo to injury. Without their leader at the helm, the Cowboys stumbled through the year, finishing with a hugely disappointing record of 4-12.

Analysts believe If the Cowboys can shore up some holes on the defensive side of the ball and Romo remains healthy, America’s Team could return to their glory days and win another championship.

Many experts predicted Dallas would take Florida State’s Jalen Ramsey or Ohio State’s Joey Bosa.

The Cowboys started the night with nine draft picks in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Dallas will kickoff the season at home on September 11 at 3:25 p.m. against the New York Giants.
