The Texas Department of Public Safety released a statement Wednesday afternoon about a deadly crash Monday morning in Dawson County. DPS said Kendall F. Amos, 54, of Lamesa was pronounced dead at the scene.
DPS said Amos was riding a motorcycle along Highway 180 four miles west of Lamesa and drove into the oncoming lane of traffic.
DPS said Amos was not wearing a helmet. DPS did not say why Amos was in the wrong lane.
It was raining at the time.
