On Friday morning the New Mexico Department of Public Safety released information about a deadly crash northeast of Roswell.
NMSP said Able Portillo, 58, of Amarillo lost his life. NMSP said the other driver, Felipe Martinez, 34, from Amarillo, was driving eastbound on highway 70 when he experienced a tire blow out. His vehicle then left the roadway.
Portillo was a passenger who was thrown out of the vehicle. NMSP said two other passengers were also hurt but not as badly.
