Texas Tech football got back on the practice field on Tuesday, and the early returns on some of their transfer players are looking like BIG wins.

Ondre Pipkins, a transfer senior from Michigan, and Kolin Hill, a sophomore formerly of Notre Dame, are already impressing their teammates and coaches.

Pipkins was an Under Armour All-American coming out of high school, and Hill played nine games in his freshman season for the Fighting Irish.

Both will compete for playing time right away.

“Pipkins has really stuck out as a run stopper,” said junior quarterback Patrick Mahomes. “When he gets going, he can’t be stopped!”

“Those are two guys who should step in right away and provide some leadership,” said head coach Kliff KIngsbury.
