Court records filed this week in the Reagor Dykes bankruptcy case said there would be mediation in Dallas on February 25 and 26. The participants were listed as Reagor Dykes, Ford, the McDougal Group and International Bank of Commerce.

However, on Tuesday, Marc McDougal said media reports about the mediation were the first he heard of those dates and location.  He said no one asked him to show up to the mediation, and he does not plan to participate.

McDougal said he would be happy to participate if he hears something from Ford in good faith.  Otherwise, he’s not interested.

McDougal, Finn Ewing and Rick Dykes made a proposal in November to purchase what was left of the Reagor Dykes dealerships.  Ford objected on multiple grounds including any participation by Rick Dykes.  Ford is the biggest creditor in the bankruptcy case.

The McDougal-Ewing-Dykes proposal fell through.

Later, court records said McDougal and Finn Ewing, informally known as the McDougal Group, said they would be glad to negotiate, and another proposal was put on the table.

On January 31, McDougal announced his companies were ceasing discussions.  McDougal, on Tuesday, said it would stay that way until Ford came forward with a counter-offer.
