Saturday Night Fever the Musical turns the Civic Center Theater into a 1970s disco this weekend. All your favorite hits from the movie come to life on stage, telling the story of Tony Manero’s rise through the disco ranks of Brooklyn. The musical is more family-friendly than the film. The Lubbock Community Theatre‘s production of Other Desert Cities opens next Thursday. The drama tells the story of the Wyeth family, whose daughter comes home after six years and announces she’s publishing her memoir, which describes the driving force behind her brothers suicide.
