There was 349 crashes involving alcohol in Lubbock County in 2015. This year, the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.) is holding their Walk Like MADD event  on September 10th. This year they are trying to collect 349 pairs of tennis shoes to represent those lives affected by drunk driving at the walk.

The walk will be at the Lubbock County Courthouse and check in begins at 9 a.m., and the event kicks off at 10 a.m.. The cost is $25 for adults, $20 for youth and $10 for dogs. All of the funds raised in the walk will stay in the Lubbock area and allows MADD to continue serving victims in the 75 county area for free.
