Emergency Responders were called to the intersection of Highway 87 and Farm to Market Road 41 Wednesday prior to 2:00 p.m. for a crash that involved several injuries.
As of Wednesday evening, University Medical Center informed EverythingLubbock.com that Grover Wayne Camper, 61, died at UMC because of his injuries in the crash.
DPS believed two pickup trucks collided.
DPS said the driver of a Ford pickup was identified Camper who was transported to UMC with critical injuries.
DPS said Camper was traveling eastbound on FM 41, stopped at a stoplight, and then attempted to cross the four lane highway, failing to yield the right of way to a Dodge pickup that was traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 87. The crash crushed the driver’s side of the Ford pickup
DPS said the Dodge was driven by Sabrina Guadalupe Alcala, 23, of Lorenzo. Another adult and three children were in the Dodge. All of them were also transported to University Medical Center.
