A Denver City woman, along with three other people, were killed in a three vehicle traffic accident in Crockett County Saturday morning.
The accident occurred on Interstate 10 near Ozona, according to the DPS.
Authorities said the driver of a pickup truck fell asleep at the wheel. The pickup truck then ran into the median, where it flipped and came to rest on the eastbound lanes of the interstate.
The DPS said the female driver was able to escape her vehicle and was sitting on her vehicle when it was then struck by a semi-truck.
The driver of the pickup truck was killed instantly.
The driver of the semi-truck lost control, crossed the median and then struck a passenger car in the westbound lanes of the interstate, killing all three occupants.
The DPS identified the driver of the pickup as Jessica Renee Marciano, 32, of Torrington, Connecticut.
The occupants of the passenger car were identified as Nora Castillo, 42, of Denver City, Isael Izaguierre Garzal, 54, and Maria Guadalupe Lopez de Izaguierre, 50, both of Ciudad Victoria, Mexico.
