The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) was called to a two-vehicle crash that occurred Thursday in Hemphill County, resulting in the death of one person.
At approximately 8:35 a.m., Aaron Wiggins, 33, of Kingfisher, Okla., was driving a 1990 Peterbilt Truck Tractor towing a 1994 Custom tanker trailer traveling westbound on US 60, approximately 10 miles east of Miami. Wiggins crossed over the center line and into the path of a 2015 Ford Pickup truck traveling eastbound and driven by Carlos Grissom, 24 of Pampa. The Truck and trailer collided into the Ford pickup truck causing the death of Grissom.
Grissom was pronounced dead at the scene by Hemphill County Justice of the Peace, Larry Dunham.
Wiggins was transported to the hospital in Canadian with non-life-threatening injuries.
Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts and no other vehicles were involved.
The road conditions were dry.
