The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) seized more than four pounds of methamphetamine Tuesday after a Texas Highway Patrol Trooper stopped a vehicle in Carson County.
At approximately 9:51 a.m., a DPS trooper stopped a Honda passenger car traveling east on IH-40 near Conway, for a traffic violation. The trooper then discovered four plastic-wrapped packages of methamphetamine inside a trash bag located in the car. The drugs are valued at approximately $348,000.
The driver, Candy Crandall, 45, of Fort Smith, Ark., was arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance. Crandall was transported and booked into the Carson County jail.
The illegal drugs were allegedly being transported from Flagstaff, Ariz. to Fort Smith, Ark.
