Texas Department of Public Safety said a Trooper was injured Friday morning while conducting an investigation.

It happened around 6:00 a.m. near exit 294, east of Abilene, DPS said.
“The Trooper was inside his unit when another vehicle crashed into his vehicle in the east bound lanes of interstate 20,” DPS said in a statement.
DPS added that the Trooper was transported to Hendrick Medical Center for evaluation.
