The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) seized over $121,000 in marijuana Sunday.
At approximately 7:28 a.m., a DPS trooper stopped a 2016 Chrysler 200 for a traffic violation on IH-40 near Bushland, in Potter County. During the traffic stop, the trooper conducted a search of the vehicle and discovered several bundles of marijuana weighing over 20 pounds.
The driver of the Chrysler identified as Theodis Baldwin, 26, of Union Springs, Ala., and passenger James Baldwin Jr., 31, of Troy, Ala., were arrested, booked into the Potter County jail and charged with felony possession of marijuana.
The illegal drugs were allegedly being transported from Sacramento, Calif., to Troy, Ala.
