The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) arrested one suspect today [Tuesday] out of Ector County for failure to stop and render aid causing death.  This charge is a result of a hit and run crash that occurred on February 14, 2016 in Ector County. 

After a thorough investigation by State Troopers, David Levya 29 years of age from Odessa, TX, was booked into the Ector County Jail on the charge.  The offense is a second degree felony, which carries a punishment range from 2 to 20 years imprisonment and a fine not to exceed $10,000.
