The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) was called to a one-vehicle crash Friday on SH 86 in Briscoe County, resulting in the death of one person.
At approximately 5:45 p.m., Donna Rucker, 55, of Quitaque, was diving a 2001 Ford Explorer northeast on SH-86 approximately 3.7 miles southeast of Silverton . Rucker failed to negotiate a curve causing her to lose control of the vehicle. The vehicle left the roadway and rolled over several times. Rucker was not wearing her seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle.
Rucker was air-lifted to the hospital where she died from her injuries on Sunday.
The road conditions were dry and no other vehicles were involved.
