Emergency crews were dispatched to McAlister Park early Saturday afternoon after receiving reports of a submerged vehicle in a playa lake.
A work crew making repairs at Legacy Play Village discovered the vehicle in the playa lake and reported it to authorities.
The Lubbock Fire Department’s Dive Team was also dispatched to the scene.
The vehicle was removed from the playa lake around 2:15 p.m.
Lubbock Police told EverythingLubbock.com no one was inside the vehicle and that the vehicle has been reported as stolen back in December 2015. Authorities said there are contents in the trunk but did not elaborate on what exactly was found in the vehicle.
