Wednesday afternoon, an Airbus 320 made an emergency landing at the Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport.

At first it was reported due to smoke inside the cabin.  Later, LPSIA said on Twitter that the emergency landing came “after fumes were reported.”

Lubbock Fire Rescue said, “A commercial airliner was diverted to Lubbock International Airport as a precaution because of a foul odor in the cabin. The plane landed safely and no hazard was found.”

There were more than 90 people on the Spirit Aircraft. The plane was flying from Los Angeles to Dallas.  There were no injuries.
