The Lubbock County Sheriff, Kelly Rowe, on Tuesday announced that he reinstated Clinton Thetford to his job Lubbock County Emergency Managment Coordinator. On Thursday evening Thetford posted a cartoon of Elmer Fudd shooting President Barack Obama.
A written statement from the sheriff said, “The Secret Service concluded after their interview that no laws had been violated with regard to the image itself, and subsequently notified us of their findings.”
However, the post was found to be a violation of Lubbock County policies.
“Appropriate direction and disciplinary action was taken with him to ensure this or any similar incident does not occur in the future,” the sheriff’s statement said.
