Disney’s next big thing is incredibly small. Paul Rudd is a down-on-his-luck thief, who gets a tiny shot at redemption by becoming Ant Man. A special suit give him the ability to shrink and increase his strength. He’s not alone in the macroscopic world, and he has to pull off a heist to save the world. The PG-13 action/adventure runs right at two hours, and you can shrink your disbelief at both Cinemark locations and out at the Alamo.
Lubbock Moonlight Musicals continues its run of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast, Jr.,” by the Youth Performance Group. The 10:00 matinee is Friday and Saturday mornings through the 25th at the Amphitheatre in Mackenzie Park. You can get your individual tickets and family packs through Select-a-Seat.
Moonlight Musicals also performs “1776” for the next two weekends. It’s the story of the second Continental Congress as they approve the Declaration of Independence. Gates open at 7:00 p.m. and the show starts at 8:00 at the Amphitheatre. Adult tickets start at $20 and children’s start at $7, through Select-a-Seat.
