The Federal Aviation Administration is reporting a small plane that originated from Lubbock crash-landed into the backyard of a Plano home Sunday morning.

Lynn Lunsford, Mid-States Public Affairs Manager with the FAA, told EverythingLubbock.com the pilot of Mooney M20 was attempting to go around for another try after an aborted landing and lost control of the aircraft.

WFAA-TV in Dallas reported the plane crashed through a fence and came to rest in backyard of a home in 1900 block of Airpark Lane.

Lunsford said the plane was attempted to land at the nearby Airpark-Dallas Airport around 11:30 a.m.

No injuries were reported to either of the aircraft’s occupants.

A search of the FAA website indicated the plane is registered to James M. McCrum of Surprise, Arizona.

The FAA is continuing to investigate the crash.
