Father of Teen Murder Victim Gets Prison Time for Unrelated Charge

Christopher Jeffcoat, 39, of Lubbock County was sentenced Tuesday to 15 years in prison for failure to register as a sex offender.

Jeffcoat just happens to be the biological father of Holli Jeffcoat who was murdered on February 10 in a home in Northeast Lubbock County.  Jeffcoat was not charged with anything related to the murder of daughter.

In 2004, Jeffcoat was convicted of touching the genitals and breasts of a 13-year-old girl.  It cost him eight years in prison and a lifetime requirement to register as a sex offender.

Holli’s mother, Debbi Holland, and step-father, James Holland, were charged with capital murder.  Both remained in the Lubbock County Detention Center as of Tuesday.

Holli was described in court records as a special needs high school student.  Court records said she was pregnant at the time of her murder.  There were allegations in court records that Debbi Holland turned a blind eye to sexual abuse of Holli by James Holland.
