WHO:
Comfort Keepers’ Feed Seniors Now initiative benefits the Lubbock Meals on Wheels (LMOW) weekend meals bag program. Media and the public are invited to participate in the food drive on September 24th and throughout September.
WHAT:
The Feed Seniors Now™ food drive encourages everyone in the community to participate. At Wal-Mart, volunteers will distribute grocery lists of specific items for people to purchase and drop off. LMOW vans outside the Walmarts from 10 am – 4 pm will also serve as drop-off locations for food items purchased elsewhere.
WHEN:
September 24th from 10:00 a.m. – 4 p.m.
WHERE:
Wal-Mart at Loop 289 & Quaker; Wal-Mart at 114th St. & Quaker
WHY:
1 in every 3 seniors is at risk of hunger.
