FBI special agents and Sugarland Police detectives need the public’s help identifying a woman linked to several area bank robberies.  The female bank robber will be featured on Clear Channel Outdoor digital billboards across the Greater Houston area beginning today.  Crime Stoppers of Houston is offering an up to $5,000 reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of the female bank robber.  Surveillance video and photographs of the suspect are also being released.

Investigators have linked the woman to several bank robberies during the month of December, including the robbery of the BBVA Compass bank located at 1575 Eldridge Parkway in Houston, Texas on Monday, December 5, 2016.  The female robber never spoke, but instead handed tellers a threatening note demanding cash.  She left the bank after receiving an undisclosed amount of money.  No one was physically hurt during the robbery.  Investigators believe the same woman robbed the Chase Bank located at 4997 Sweetwater Boulevard in Sugarland, Texas on Thursday, December 1, 2016.  During that robbery, the woman handed tellers a threatening note demanding money and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.  She wore sunglasses, jeans, and a wide-brimmed camouflage hat with a thick black band across it.  On Friday, December 2, 2016, a man wearing what may be the same wide-brimmed camouflage hat robbed the Chase bank located at 10850 Bellaire Boulevard in Houston, Texas.  The male robber also handed tellers a threatening note demanding cash and got away with an undisclosed amount of money.  While the man and the woman robbed the banks separately, investigators believe the robberies may be linked.

The female bank robber was described as a White or Hispanic female with brown hair in her late twenties – thirties, about 5’1” – 5’2” tall, and weighing 140 – 150 pounds.  During the BBVA bank robbery, witnesses noticed the female robber had dark hair and a mole on her right upper cheek.  She wore sunglasses, jeans, and a wide-brimmed red hat with a thick black band across it.  During the Chase bank robbery, she wore a black shirt with a gray “hoodie” on top, dark sun glasses, and a wide-brimmed camouflaged fedora hat. Witnesses noticed a word tattooed on her upper right chest.   The male robber was described as a black male in his late twenties, 5’4” – 5’ 8” tall, and with a thin build.  He wore a red Nike hooded sweatshirt, khaki pants, and white Nike tennis shoes.
