Lubbock Fire Rescue responded to a fire that broke out a central Lubbock apartment complex early Friday morning.

Firefighters were called out just before 4:10 a.m. at to the Campbell apartment complex where there were reports of fire and heavy smoke on the west side of the four-unit apartment complex. Lubbock Police and EMS were also called to the scene. 

Officials with the Fire Marshal’s office arrived to the complex to investigate the cause. The Lubbock Red Cross was called to assist four residents who were displaced.

As of Friday morning, there was no word on the extent of property damage or injuries. Keep checking this story for updates.
