A cotton warehouse in East Plainview was destroyed by a fire late Friday night.
According to the Plainview Daily Herald, the fire was reported just after 10:00 p.m. at 713 East 9th Street.
The warehouse was abandoned and was scheduled for demolition, the newspaper said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Firefighters cleared the scene at 2:05 a.m. Saturday.
The warehouse was owned by The Trinity Company – Hale County Compress.
