The Tahoka Police Department said Monday that Juan Manuel Calsoncit, 30, was injured in an explosion and R.V. fire.

Police said firefighters were dispatched just after noon to the 1300 block of South 3rd Street and the R.V. was “fully engulfed in flames.”

“There were no victims inside the burning R.V. to rescue,” police said.  However, Calsoncit was taken to University Medical Center where UMC said he was listed in critical condition.

“According to family members, Juan [Calsoncit] was working on the water heater of the R.V. by himself when it exploded and caught the R.V. on fire.”

After the explosion, a family member called for help.  The R.V. was destroyed.  Only one person was reported injured.
