Firefighters were dispatched to house fire in Central Lubbock early Monday afternoon.

The fire was reported in the 2500 block of 30th Street around 12:55 p.m.

According to the Lubbock Fire Department, crews arrived on the scene to find smoke showing from the house.

Firefighters then made entry, pulled utilities and established a water supply.

The fire was under control and  crews completed their searches by 1:20 p.m.

A male victim was transported by EMS from the scene with non-life threatening injuries.

The home suffered heavy smoke damage, the Lubbock Fire Department said. 

The Fire Marshal’s Office was called to the scene to investigate.
