The Lubbock Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire in Central Lubbock Wednesday afternoon.
The fire was reported around 2:30 p.m. in the vicinity of 46th Street and University Avenue.
Fire crews arrived on the scene to find heavy smoke and fire coming from the structure.
Authorities and neighbors said the house appears to be vacant and no injuries have been reported.
The exact cause of the fire is unknown at this time but the Fire Marshall’s office has opened up an investigation on this case.
