The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is set to begin a $789,000 project to make roadway improvements a segment of FM 54, from US 84 to Sunset Avenue, in Littlefield. Contractor Duininck, Inc., of Roanoke, Texas, is set to begin work on Monday, June 13.
“The project will make needed improvements and repairs to the pavement, including widening FM 54, and is expected to enhance the overall safety of the roadway,” said Stevan Perez, P.E, TxDOT Littlefield Area Engineer. “To expedite construction, FM 54 will be closed to through traffic.”
Traffic will be detoured around the work zone during construction via US 84 and US 385. Motorists should follow the detour signs. Construction is expected to be completed in late-July.
